We hold a number of Grass Roots competitions for those who have a more competitive streak and it’s a good way of assessing progress.
Designed for those interested in show jumping, these lessons cover techniques for clearing obstacles with confidence and style. Most basic Jump coaching will be able to be added to your Private Lesson by writing in the riders notes. However it should be considered that the rider must have an independent seat in all three paces of walk, trot and canter with a forward light seat.
Polework Clinics are designed to enhance a horse and rider's skills by focusing on rhythm, balance, and coordination over ground poles. Through a variety of pole exercises, participants will develop better communication and partnership with their horses. Polework is an excellent foundation for those aspiring to progress in jumping disciplines, providing a safe yet challenging environment to master essential techniques. These clinics are to be found on the Up Coming Events page and are held on a group basis.
The centre offers lessons specifically tailored for young riders, with a focus on safety, fun, and learning. These lessons aim to instil a love for horses and riding from an early age. Children’s Lessons are generally for 30mins.

Lunge Lessons
Ideal for improving balance, coordination, and riding posture, lunge lessons provide a focused environment where the rider can work on their seat and aids without worrying about controlling the horse. These lessons are particularly beneficial for beginners and those looking to refine their riding skills. Riders of all levels can benefit from the controlled environment that lunge lessons provide, allowing for targeted practice and improvement.
Our In House stable management courses teach clients how to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient stable yard environment. Topics include feeding and nutrition, grooming, mucking out, and health care. We also cover the identification and treatment of common ailments, ensuring that every rider understands the signs of a healthy horse.
Riders will learn the importance of proper grooming techniques, such as brushing, hoof care, and mane and tail maintenance. Our instructors emphasise the significance of regular health checks and vaccinations, as well as the basics of equine first aid.
Additionally, clients will gain hands-on experience in stable chores and management strategies, including organising tack and equipment, maintaining clean stables, and ensuring a safe environment for both horses and humans. By mastering these skills, riders become more confident and self-sufficient equestrians.
Overall, our stable management and horse care lessons aim to create well-rounded riders who not only excel in the saddle but also possess a deep respect and understanding for the horses in their care. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced rider, our programmes offer valuable insights into the world of equine management, fostering a lifelong love and commitment to horse riding.
If you complete a portfolio of learning you will gain an in house completion certificate and for a small fee we can issue you a Association of British Riding Schools to which we are approved official certificate.
