Alternative Learning Provision for Young Persons 12-17yrs

For those in Home Education system or not in regular school hours  (NEET)

Young people may have Special Educational Needs or Not in Education at all.

If the young person has a ECHP or EOTIS plan or still in school roll you may need to seek authorisation for attendance.

Session runs on a Wednesdays morning 10.30 - 12noon

These sessions have been designed specifically for those with requiring a smaller quieter programme on a regular basis.

Activities will include learning not just practical equine skills but theoretical insights into the horse with how behaviour of the horse can have a real impact on the young person and have a very calming Effect.

Touching cuddling feeding and sensory feel will all be used.

Young persons have the opportunity to gain certification to showcase their skills and learning.

PLEASE NOTE: This is an unmounted course.

Mounted instruction can be sourced outside this session by arrangement.

Assistance with funding may be available for those with current EHCPs via EOTIS on application to your school or respective Local Authority.
